Back in the early 70s in So Cal, BMX started to take hold, and there was a dude named Ernie who thought it would be cool to make it legit. He created the National Bicycle Association, aka the NBA, the roots of organized BMX racing. NBA events spread throughout the US. Fast kids became rock stars.
